I have been following your thread for months and viewed your pretty face on your Web Page Yesterday. I totally agree with you that inflation is being hidden. The Dow has been manipulated to replace bad companies with good companies. The profits that big corporations are reporting borderline criminal activity (I am a CPA so I do know what's going on). The CPA firms keep bowing to pressures from the big companies, just to keep their clients.

Please do me one favor, could you recap what stocks you would short today or shorts you have with current targets?

I have had hugh losses and gains from shorting and think that the market is way overpriced, maybe 1000 - 2000 pts. I am considering rethinking the family's portfolio, holding cash, shorting and waiting for the inevitable.

In NYC, everyone is talking about the stock market and I have been asking the what is the Dow, can you name 4 companies and is this representative of the entire market? You would not believe the stupidity of people. I almost never get to the third question and people give me dirty looks when their ignorance is exposed.

I shorted DDIM @ 23 5/8 two weeks ago. What a train wreak! It's gone against me, but like you I have an iron stomach and can wait for the y2k speculative buble to burst. Every major company is using this as a scare tactic to win a larger budget and them planning to purchase new equipment and fix y2k problems only where required. The big boys IBM and CA are getting into it heavy and those small guys are going to get crushed by their own weight.

Best Wishes
