The absence of belief doesn't cause anyone do to anything.

First of all, atheism is not simply an absence of belief. Agnosticism is the absence of a belief -- one simply doesn't know and doesn't express an opinion. Atheism is the active belief that there is no divine. That is a belief, by any definition of belief. (It's like UFOs -- some people believe they exist, some just don't know, and some actively believe they don't exist.)

Then, if the atheism "doesn't cause anyone do to anything," why do atheists bring so many lawsuits? They certainly seem impelled to do something. If not their atheism impelling them, then what?
