I had some wonderful beef in Mexico this last week. They don't import from the U.S. anymore. There was a massive sale on the Texas side of the border as all the 18 wheel reefers screeched to a halt with their tons of beef on board and nobody to buy it. Tom Ridge and his orange alert kept the chicken littles away so the Christmas crowd was short on the tourist types. I'll have to send him a thank you. The border was nearly impassible, but the taxis were making good deals so we let them ferry us around the jams. Can you believe the FDA lets cows that are too sick to stand get dragged into knives and grinders of the American food supply? It's not as if there is a cow shortage. TP
