We've discussed the difference between atheism and agnosticism on this thread a lot. Enough to know that there's no right definition of either. So let's not go there.

Lawsuits aren't motivated by atheism, itself. There's no tenet of atheism that says "go forth and sue." Atheists sue for the same reason anyone else sues, they don't like getting pushed around. If no one pushed them around, they wouldn't sue. Likewise Christians get upset because they don't like being pushed around, either. So it's back and forth, push and shove. Some on both sides are more reasonable and some are really touchy. It has nothing to do with atheism. If blacks or Mexicans or lawyers or miners feel pushed around, they sue, too. You don't have to be an atheist to rebel when you feel put upon.
