I should note that bias does not have to be conscious to be bias, and I think most of it is not.

Bias and insult are funny things. They always look different depending on your side of the fence. That's how we got into this PC mess. People have different tolerances for bias and insult. Some people have ducks' backs and some are hyper sensitive. There's generally some basis for the sensitivity, but never as much as the most sensitive perceive. This liberal media bias thing has moved into the PC ether, IMO. The examples we've discussed are at least arguable. When people can't see that a given event is at least arguable, well, we're one step away from affirmative action. <g>
