"Evidence" is always an amusing term in this context. Almost as abused as "facts and logic". Got WMDs? I didn't think so.

It was not the job of the US or UN to prove Iraq did, or did not, possess WMDs.

That was Saddam's responsibility.. He was supposed to ensure that all WMDs were properly accounted for, or that a level of high confidence of total destruction resulted from the inspection program.

And he apparently did a very poor job of convincing the world's leading intelligence communities that he'd complied. (or maybe those 6,000 unaccounted for warheads are still lurking out there somewhere).

The only job the US/UN had was to ensure compliance with binding UN resolutions related to the cease fire agreement of 1991, by military force, if necessary.

You might have the current lack of uncovered WMDs on your side of the argument right now, but hindsight is always 20/20..

But when the decision to declare Iraq in material breach was made, 15 members of the UNSC disagreed with you.
