I *wish* Bush had sent our military in there to save the Iraqis from Saddam! But we know that's not the actual reason, and it clouds the facts to justify what he did because it had some positive consequences.

The proof of the pudding, BTW, will be in the eating -- if Saddam was the problem, we should have pulled out a week ago. Instead, US military is likely to remain in Iraq for several years. Why? Because this is about controlling oil in the Middle East, it's not and never was about the welfare of the people of Iraq. Sadly.
