Alan Farley says most traders lost money this year.

Traders can wear their 2003 battle scars like well-deserved badges of honor. But not everyone made money in the financial markets this year. In fact, it's likely that the majority of traders and investors are still drowning in red ink, despite the best bull move since 1999.

I doubt that is true. Most mutual funds are up for the year.
