Govt is neutral to the extent that it simply supports the organization of society.
Do I read this right? Are you claiming that if a society is prejudiced and the government moves towards a more neutral center position, it is leaving neutrality? That if the society accepts cannibalism and the gov't passes laws against murder, it is wrong?

I'm sorry, Jewel, but that statement is absurd on the face of it.

Does this mean the 2000 election should not have been held since it resulted in the replacement of a Democratic President? Or that Ross Perot should not have been allowed to run since we basically have a two-party system?

Or the Civil War should not not have been fought since slavery was clearly recognized and provided for in the Constitution? That no states should be allowed to have initiative, referendum, and recall in their constitutions since these are automatically going to upset the existing organization of society?

Blind support of the status quo ante can hardly be neutral if it is twisted strongly towards one prejudice or another.
