Fox News Neil Cavuto back in November said conditions were remarkably similar to right before Black Monday. Irrational exuberance in the markets, disregarding the warnings signs of huge government and consumer debt. Look at this Xmas season, the high-end retailers did well but the middleclass retailers did not. That's trickle-down for you. The middleclass are still in a pinch and companies which have downsized are not likely to start hiring until they absolutely have to, if ever. This market has been going up for so long that traders have once again lost sight of the reality in the economy, that it is a house of cards. Also, why would foreign investors want US stocks with such a plummeting dollar?
