Bush's Foreign Policy the Best Course of Action (Fairfax, VA)-President Bush has used the right intelligence data, and has the long-term vision and the best plan of action to get the job in Iraq done, says former FBI agent Gary Aldrich.
Following the dramatic capture of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Gary Aldrich asserts, "our coalition allies depend on Bush's leadership and trust his intelligence network. Bush has been right all along. And he has quite a trophy to show for it."
Aldrich, who specialized in national security issues during his 26-year FBI career, has continually defended Bush's foreign policy from a national security perspective since US troops invaded Afghanistan in 2001.
In a press conference early Monday, Bush stated, "the citizens of Iraq need to know that we're going to stay the course. You can count on America remaining until the job is done."
"So France, Russia and Germany aren't with us? So, what?" Aldrich quipped. "If President Bush had taken their advice, Saddam would still be in power, torturing his own citizens and exporting terrorism around the world. Instead, our military pulled him out of a hole in the ground, where he was hiding like a desert scorpion."
"Soon," continued Aldrich, "Saddam will begin the trial of his life-a trial conducted by the citizens he once ruled. The best part is Iraqis will finally see justice in their country. President Bush's success means liberty for the Iraqi people."
