Don't feel so secure.

The way the new Patriot Act II laws are written, nothing prevents you from being next.

There is no accountability -- your house could be invaded, any guns confiscated, you dragged away with zero evidence and all results kept secret. Your only hope would be that the gov't publicizes your arrest like Padilla, otherwise you have no recourse.

Some of these "terrorists" haven't even been charged, much less tried in open court. There's no way to know without due process if a mistake has been made, if it's someone's grudge, or it's a political decision to silence opposition.

The current law even allows you to be executed in secret.

Because I don't personally feel targeted..
