So what would they take over CKG for? Money in the treasury? It cannot be the resources, as they do not have any, nor have they done enough exploration to rule out any probable existing resource

CBD no way, as the resource is not that profitable. It is not hungry but not that wildly magnificent.

If you look at the pattern, most majors are not buying difficult, but potentially large resources. They are divesting some resources at the bottom of their inventory in order to concentrate.

While we are on the subject of concentrating, one has to wonder about Domes move into SA a few years back. They never were that astute politically.
