Bush won the "slickest cheater" award you mean. No major newspapers looked into the voter roll scrubbing only the sideshow of the hanging chads. Those networks who investigated were stopped by Jeb's denials and the fact that the coverup and Supreme Court fix was already in. The voter roll scrubbing cheated Gore out of thousands of votes, the recount stoppage didn't necessarily cheat him out of any.
