Things are pretty slow at the end of the year here, and many folks have moved on. For me, this has been an exciting investing year, full of promises fulfilled (RRI, OMG, AAR) and a few promises broken.

In any event, as an optimist, I feel better and wiser as a speculator in almost all areas I choose to play in, so that's all good.

All indicators say this market continues higher in the New Year. Back in February very few (including myself) would have imagined a trifecta of a Dow of +10,000, an SP-500 above 1100 and a Naz over 2000.

Having identified the major market trend (UP), it simply falls on us to now identify the most likely stocks to rise higher than the averages.

Afghanistan falls, Iraq falls, Saddam crawls out of a hole . . .
