I have been hearing that Lam is starting to get close to current full manufacturing capacity and is working with oursourcing vendors to increase the manufacturing capacity. I do have confidence in LRCX management to manage timely outsourcing of manufacturing resources. But if ramp comes in very suddenly for all equipment companies, orders need to be delayed 2 to 3 quarters out due to limited ability for these companies to ramp up the manufacturing capacity. This can cause the revenue to show gradual increase for longer period Vs large short term spike. At any rate, looks like 2004 will be a good year for Lam and other equipment companies and will be a prelude to more robust upturn that may occur in 2005.
