so the right needs to lay off clinton if we expect the left to lay off bush 43 pre-9/11.
And our unpreparedness although part of our charm as a nation costs us dearly in the first days of a war

Bush 43 recognized the increasing danger and increased our ability to defend ourselves.
Clinton ignored the danger and hacked our ability to defend ourselves.
And you see no difference?

Our unpreparedness is not charming.
Our unpreparedness is a direct consequence of the 39% Clinton military cut and a 50% cut in operational intelligence gathering.

Try selling charming to the families of the Sailors murdered on the USS Cole, To the families of the US Embassy personnel murdered in 2 American E African embassies, or to the families of the American servicemen murdered in Khobar towers.

Perhaps the problem is that we expect our servicemen to die in conflict. Under clinton any conflict was OK. As long as they were killed by warlike weapons, clinton supporters refused to define these attacks for what they were...murder. There was no declared war. There was no organized, recognizable (under international law) army opposing us. So the Clinton administration just accepted these deaths as routine business. All the while cutting, cutting, cutting our defensive capabilities.

Can you see trying to sell the charm of unpreparedness in NYC, LA, Wash DC, or Las Vegas today?

Can you visualize the reaction of the demos if GWB proposed a cut in our armed forces a few weeks after 9/11. Yet Clinton did exactly that after previous attacks.

There is a historical lesson here that too many just don't get. The discussion must continue until the charming part of unpreparedness has been buried.
