UW, My point was in differentiating between post-9/11 bush 43 and clinton and pre-9/11 bush. On september 10, 2001 we were not substantially prepared than on 1/19/01. Thats all i meant to say. As for charming, using that word does in no way mean the US was not stupid in its lack of preparation or in drawing down its military. Its just a description of how most americans behave in peacetime. A sizable minority think we are at peace today and they walk the earth with their collective heads up their butts. I am on your side.
