What I am thinking that may have happened to you is that you created a CD on a system that happened to have a FAT32 hard drive volume, and you formatted it in such a way that it was unreadable on another system that happens to have a NTFS hard drive volume. However, the real problem is not the file system used on your hard drive, but the options used to write the CD. (For maximum cross-system compatibility, always record "track at a time", and "close session".)

My response:
What I am saying is I have 70 or 80 CD data disks created on different systems (at least 30) with FAT32 on the hard drive. None of these data disks have been useable on systems with NTFS (at least 50). I have many disks that were created on systems with NTFS and they are all readable on all systems including FAT and FAT32. The process for creating these disks whether on systems with FAT32 or NTFS was the same. I am just quoting experience and nothing I read in a book. I partition, format and re-load between 1 and 10 corporate lease return systems every day.

If you would kindly explain what software you use and a step by step process you use to burn a CD on a FAT32 system that is readable on a NTFS system. I have several different programs for burning CD's including Nero Burning Rom and would be most happy to purchase software to accomplish what you are saying is possible.
