That's one weird response (from ZoneAlarm). DATEK Streamer does not write to memory any different than any other program. Its a Java program and the memory it uses has nothing to do with ZoneAlarm. Programs shouldn't be using the same memory and yes, it is the fault of ZoneAlarm. Other firewalls (with the exception of NIS 2004) do not conflict with Streamer (through QuoteTracker or direct) and, Streamer does not need to have a continuous outbound flow of data. It needs to be able to have a continuous INBOUND flow of data, as do any streaming video or other streaming content application, and should be properly handled by the firewall. All DATEK streaming is (from the technical point of view) is one continuous never ending HTML page with binary data. ZoneAlarm's excuse is just that - an excuse, trying to pacify the end user with a bunch of BS, counting on them not to know better.
