KR,
One of the finance guys of the company that recently severed me, has been out of work since May. He has two offers to start next week. He has the weekend to make up his mind. I was let go in september and hired in Novemeber for a january 1 start date. There was a guy on cnbc this morning who says that ceo optimism about the economic future has doubled in the last quarter and is reflecting itself in new hiring and capex spending beginning--you guessed it--in January. This is all great news. If things get really good, in september, how will the democrats explain it? They have zero to take credit for. They are against greenspan, tax cuts, free trade. All they are for a balanced budget and by september the deficits will already be starting to narrow and the move to surplus, reduced debt and a higher dollar in 2005 and 2006 will be more evident. Mike
