Couple of weeks ago i saw a red ensign beside the BC flag outside a store, went in to get the r.e., ended up just congratulating the storekeeper for selling them, because he wanted forty loonies the each .... plus gst and pst, of course [speaking of Liberal inventions]

Pearson is said to have fixed on the idea of his pennant in 1956, when he sent military to Suez to invent peacekeeping, and the locals whose 'peace' was to be kept didn't like our uniforms or flag because these symbols reminded them of Perfidious Albion, who had been trying to keep the 'peace' some years before .... the maple leaf [forever] i don't mind so much, it belongs there on a great white field, what the rag is missing is the two blue stripes down the sides, each maybe one-sixth or one-eighth of the length .... this in part to preserve ancient red white and blue, but more to flaunt the a mari usque ad mare [from sea whisky to sea]
