It certainly could be a feint. I suspect that if there is a real threat, we don't and won't know anything about it- until it is too late.

I'm of the opinion that the announcements we get with vague, unactionable threats presented to us is specifically designed to control the weak-minded among us and keep the people clamoring for a strong leader to lead us to safety.

It should be apparent to all of us that normal police procedure is to work covertly to infiltrate, investigate and arrest those who would perpetrate terrorist acts.

Let's reflect back on the techniques of law enforcement when it came to ferreting out members of Congress who were willing to accept bribes for votes. The Abscam busts were certainly not announced to us prior to the arrest of the few Congressmen they were able to entrap. Why should the FBI, CIA, etc. not be trying to infiltrate purported "terrorist cells" in the same manner? Examining the way that the police agencies are attempting to infiltrate and corrupt environmental and anti-war groups, we seem to be slipping back to the bad old ways of COINTELPRO.

So, the announcements over the media are a separate track that has nothing to do with preventing actual terrorist incidents, IMO. And they have everything to do with propagandizing the populace.

A discussion of this technique and ancillary mind control methods of totalitarian regimes will be discussed in my next post.
