Joey and Intel investors:

To further support what you stated in your post as well as the articles contained therein, the following comments are taken from a H&Q semiconductor industry update, issued by R. Chaplinsky this morning (8/13/97):

* PC demand is expected to be strong during the second half of 1997.

* Semiconductor wafer capacity has significantly tightened making fabless semiconductor companies' access to wafers (especially .35 micron logic wafers) a significant competitive edge.

* Graphics pricing continues to decline, but at a more normal pattern as demand has significantly picked up within the last few weeks.

* DVD drives will begin to appear in some PCs by Xmas 1997, but are not expected to hit mainstream until 2H'98 when DVD drive prices approach parity with CD-ROM drives at less than $100.
