Now that you mention it, I don't recall seeing anything much in the way of eye witnesses talking on message boards about what they saw. There were quite a few accounts of the terror variety reported, and a few limited hangouts reported in the news about hearing explosions.

I admit it hasn't crossed my mind to research that angle, but considering how many people who weren't in New York on 9/11 that are researching the event, it does seem a bit odd not to have seen a ton of discussion by those who survived the actual event. Supposedly the 9/11 commission is going to interview some of them, but it seems like those who heard explosives, for example, would have an interest in talking to others about what they saw and heard.
