I got to thinking about that Illinois speed limit. That seems so strange to me. Illinois must not have much traffic on their interstates. If they left one lane virtually unused around here, there would be even more gridlock than there already is. The Beltway looks like the Indy 500, only slower, albeit only slightly slower. It would make no sense at all to use the left lane just for passing. I wonder what problem it is they are trying to solve.
