You find it unbelievable that the US considered force during the embargo? Why? I'd be surprised if they didn't. And I was surprised they didn't do it. Probably the only thing that stopped it was the possibility of WW3.

So far that has`shown up in the Guardian and NYT. It showed up in the Guardian first- -hardly an unbiased source. The NYT probably got it from there.

Whether or not US forces went on alery during the embargo should be verifiable.
