Looking back on the year and thinking......

Did you know the average daily range for the DOW was 180 points in 2003? The median was 173 points? (Does this seem high???)

If you had bought the open and sold the close on DIA you would have accumulated somewhere around 22 points.

For comparison. Year 2002 was 250ish average and median. And you would have broken even buying the open/selling the close.

And I got my numbers from Yahoo so they could be wrong.
