Briefing 07:49 ET Ciphergen Biosys lowers Q4 sales guidance (CIPH) 11.43: Co sees Q4 sales of $15-$15.5 mln vs previous company expectations of $19 mln and Reuters Research consensus of $18.9 mln. The co reports results on Feb 12. The co's new ProteinChip System sales in the US were short of expectations. A significant number of specific orders that were anticipated near the end of the quarter did not materialize, although many of these should carry forward to Q1.
