The correspondence in the absorption spectrum of interstellar dust grains and that of dried bacteria has long been intriguing, provocative and controversial - as you would expect. In my post, I tried to keep to the clearly demonstrable. The absorption spectrum exhibited in your post is very simple in its nature, and can be approximated by several possibilities - including the bacteria.
