If this is true (I don't trust the word of Palestinian officials alone), it just shows that Egypt has too much of its self-importance wrapped up in these talks to stop,

I wonder, Nadine. We have the "bumping into trees while going through the forest," problem. It is very difficult to figure out what is going on in a week by week appraisal of it. The Egyptians are putting money and, more important, prestige, into the Pals. They are getting treated badly by them, and they can see the pals are losing. Maybe there is some movement. TWT.
