You sound like my wife.

I don't avoid them. They find me because I don't drive as
fast as they do, like when I use the fast lane to pass a
line of slower moving vehicles. They come flying up on my
bumper & stay there, flashing their headlights, honking
their horn, &/or flipping me the bird.

I won't speed up (I'm usually at 71 or so when the posted
speed is 55 & I drive faster in the posted 65 areas). I
won't slow down & stay in the slow lane with the 55 crowd
either. If they can't wait for me to pass at speeds well
above the legal limit, I say call a cop & complain to
them.

I've only had a few instances where someone really tried
to run me off the road. And in the many hundreds of
thousands of highway miles I've driven, it's an extremely
rare occurrence that has yet to result in a wreck.

No doubt they were sure it was all my fault every time too.
