the best way to get HP support is to know someone inside the company, who is willing to make a few calls around. Its amazing how fast HP support reacts when they get employee feedback. I worked at HP for 12 years, so HP support is no problem for me - often I do not call the support folks, I just call one of my buddies, and in a day or so, no problemo. I have had a replacement laptop sent to me, overnight Fedex, without me shipping the one with a real/imagined problem - the replacement came with a note saying, "when you are ready, please ship the old one to us, using the attached shipment form".
