SI(Bob), meanwhile, was absorbed in perusing the latest John Deere catalogue and missed Muffy's appealing glance. She thus turned her attention to another rows behind her when the plane suddenly lurched! "Dang!" Muffy thought. "Just when things were turning up for me. Maybe it is not serious." Just then the pilot announced over the intercom system that he was making an emergency landing at the nearest airport, far from Ottumwa and New Zealand. That's right, folks. They were landing in Bolivia!!! Many on board were grateful. Bolivia didn't have any extradition treaties with the U.S., did it?
