I mean run the KDE graphical user interface desktop and all the open office apps with no windows. Or, whatever Novell puts together as the desktop offering, open source has all these alternatives that do the same thing which is the whole problem. Like for desktop there is a KDE vs. Gnome battle. Somebody needs to decide what the standard is and I am looking for Novell to do a little of that. SuSE is all 64. Here is a site about desktop linux

Both HP high end machines are the athlon 64 desktop chip, yes it is out but they configure it with WinXP 32 bits. So the extra bits are wasted unless you start using linux. shopping.hp.com
