THat's a perfectly fair question. Do you or do you not posit that only religion can provide a basis for morality? That, in fact, it cannot exist without a religious basis?

I believe you have. Given that, does not a believer who ceases to believe then not become a dangerous mad dog because they have lost their anchor?

What is to keep them from simply killing you if not fear of eternal damnation?
