Not sure from whom you got the tip but it is a good one.

I am wondering if there is a 2.0 solution for an old case with USB in the back. It is such a pain to reach back there on my kid's machine.

There must be an adaptor with a cord that I can plug in and have a bunch of USB 2.0 ports in front or on top of the box.
