Must I remind you of the overwhelming mandate the republicans were handed in Nov., 2002 ?

No I know, but the disgust for Bush came after Iraq when we discovered there was nothing there. The economy and jobs were trying to recover in 2002 when Bush started that war. He made it sound urgent and life threatening and people believed him. He started the country on a downward spiral we never recovered from in the jobs sense, at least. The fact is a lot of people are very uncomfortable with this agressive war mongering. Here's a funny tidbit for you... in 2000 one of Bush's campaign slogans was W is for Women. How much of the women's vote do you think he will get now? Less than 20% I'd say. The only women who will vote for Bush are the nasty far right grandmothers like that beligerent Jewel_o_the_west person on the Bush thread. The women that see themselves as compassionate want Bush to go. Of course Bush has done nothing to court the womens vote that is for sure.
