Its all BS and "Bride Beware", I live in a very heavily Arab populated area, several years ago a a young mother of two showed up in a car without her head, as well she had been beaten and stabbed many times, most likely before her beheading..........
She was very Protestant very Anglo, he was very Arab from somewhere in Iraq...bottom line is Arab men do not tolerate any anything from their women other than gleeful submission to sex, washing, child care, cooking, etc, you get the point....it seems she was threatening to leave him for his continuing to be an intolerable ass and she had been linked to another man.
Well it seems this particular Arab man was from an area of the Middle East that considered anything less than complete submission from his woman as a complete and total loss of face and honor from his fellow male Arab brethren so he acted accordingly given his cultural propensities.
He also got clean away to the Middle East and just disappeared into the street, his children became wards of her grandparents.
This is a true story, it happened in Livonia, Michigan (near Dearborn, Mi) about 7 or 8 years ago.......
This is obviously an extreme however it did happen.......
I see Arab women all the time, almost daily, and most(older)wear the traditional veils and Arab garb of their culture, they rarely make eye contact and rarely speak unless spoken to or directly addressed.
Most of the men are supremely arrogant and appear aloof to others.
A true story and a few observations........
