They are not invisible, you see them everyday you go to Wallmart or most any service business.

I know. I live in a very ethnic area and I rub elbows with them all the time. I'm glad they're there. [You may have missed my repeated expressions of pleasure at being able to shop at a grocery store where I can buy a half dozen kinds of eggplant and papaya, including my favorites, Chinese eggplant and Maridol papaya. They also sell Korean, Chinese, AND Japanese pears. Yummy.]

I just want them there legally. It is not good public policy to reward illegal acts. We need to either enforce our laws or not have them. To do anything else makes a mockery of or system, not a good message to send to future citizens. And it certainly makes no sense to be cavalier about illegal entry into the country when we are fighting a war on terrorism.

If we increased legal immigration thresholds and/or created a guest worker program we would have plenty of takers.

We could decrease illegal immigration if we enforced our laws against hiring illegals, built a wall to keep them out, and/or denied them services.

Yet another in a continuing series of amnesties is not a good approach, IMO.

Do you want to bus your table at the restaurant, walk because you cant find a taxi and clean your hotel room because the people filling these jobs were illegal?

That's a fallacious argument, a false dichotomy. There are other options.
