Mt point is, that without Nader in the race, Gore wins. It's pretty obvious and requires no proof. It's an intellectual exercise, one that you know is valid. Buchanan's vote would have likely gone for Bush had Buchanan not been in the race. Nader's votes would have likely gone to Gore. But Nader earned 5 votes for every one of Buchanan's.

None of this matters much. There is no proof of what an alternate outcome without Nader would have been. It's an intellectual exercise and nothing more. But even you can see that with out Nader in the election, Gore probably wins. Out of those 100,000 Nader voters, it is not hard to believe that 10,000 of them would vote for Gore for every one that would move his vote to Bush.

Nader was the spoiler in the election. Probably received republican financial support. We know that Jeb (Florida) paid Nader to Speak at FSU.
