Ok then look at the voting comparisons between 92 and 96. Perot made his best showing in 92, and in 96 he lost 1/2 to 2/3 of his supporters.

Where did those voters go? Take a look at some state results:

In California, Perot won 20.6 percent of the vote in 92. In 96 his support waned to 7 percent. That leaves roughly 14% that voted dem or rep. Clinton increased his percentage from 46% to 51%, while the republicans increased their percentage from 33% to 38%. About 5% increase for both parties. This indicates that the vote for Perot was split evenly from both Republicans and Democrats.

Look at Florida, Perot reduced by 10%. Dems up by 9% while Repubs up by 3%. This indicates that most of the supporters of Perot came from the dems.

Look at Texas. Perot reduced by 15%. Dems up by 7% while the rebubs up by 8%. Fairly evenly split.

Look at Mass. Perot reduced by 14%. Dems up by 14% while repubs down by 1%. Looks like almost all the perot support was taken from the dems.

Look at any state you want. The Perot vote came from dems as much as reps, often more so from the dems.

The republican charge that Perot helped Clinton into the white house is another republican lie.
