If there are not well defined property rights there are likely no well preserved human rights.

I have been kicking this around again to see if I could define it better. The "Chicago Boys" tried to install our economic system around the world, and found that economic freedom by itself was always corrupted in these other countries.

Societies based on British model seem to do the best. America has done the best of that group because of more economic and social freedom, IMO. Europe and Japan just can't get it together like we do. The Singapore Model has had limited success. Kind of a very "authoritarian British." This seems to be the one that China is adopting.

Isn't it astounding that our Intellectuals, living in this model, reject it and tell the world that their culture is just as good or better? This attitude makes us look like fools. People in other countries know better. But their Elites don't want our system, so they agree. They lose out on running things if they adopted our total system.

Probably the main reason for our Elite's attitude. They wish they got to run things, instead of having our lousy "flyover types" in charge.
