The ONLY posters who objected to the US military action in Afghanistan were liberals. Period. Speaks volumes.

How do you define "direct action"? The US first demanded the Taliban turn over bin Laden. They refused. It was made clear to them that we intended military action if necessary and they were given a timetable. They did not turn him over; we invaded. Democrats warned of "quagmire", citing a British invasion about 150 years previously. If this sounds familiar, it ought to.

On September 11, 2001, acts of treacherous violence were committed against the United States and its citizens. Such acts render it both necessary and appropriate that the United States exercise its rights to self-defense and to protect United States citizens both at home and abroad, in light of the threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. Such acts continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. Finally, the president has the authority under the Constitution to take action to deter and prevent acts of international terrorism against the United States.

420-1 vote.
Know who the one NAY was?
Barbara Lee, D-CA, Berkeley's Rep. Coincidence? I think not. There is something seriously wrong with someone who cannot see the need for action by the light of those burning towers.

Have the Democrats censured her or in any other way indicated displeasure with her stance? Of course not.

The democrats have the high ground in the war on terror
Yeah, High, dry, and isolated.

I don't vote for traitors.

Wake up and smell the burning jet fuel.
