Well just imagine how marginalized Cindy feels... And Cindy's feelings are important, are they not? ....she rememembered the sough of Bilbo's warm breath on her cheek, just before he licked it. And the special silkiness of his ears, exceptionally silky even for a basset. She knew he preferred Trixie, and was playing a desperate game with Mary Baines Crowley, but if she could offer him a few moments' pleasure when he visited the grooming shop.... It was enough for him, perhaps, though never for her. Yes, she had the townhouse and the diamond bracelet and the floor polisher, but...was there not more to life than that???
