I agree with you... "Now I've wondered about this. Why is it that God seems to always need us to do his dirty work?" Such an incompetent and bungling entity ... "Would it not be much more effective if he did it? Being omniscient, he could execute 100% of apostates instead of depending on our hit-or-miss detection methods. However, I don't believe you have really considered the matter much at all. Its much easier to simply create incompetent/omniscient strawgods to poke with your little stick.
