You are there for one thing and not another. You too could do a little historical research, lots of it is available. Sure, church leaders today want you to believe the new testament is a true reflection of Jesus's sayings, but the reality it is that it is not a complete reflection of Jesus's saying. But most importantly, remember because we originally were talking about John, John's Gospel may very well have been written by someone who never knew Jesus. Whereas Mark, does not fall under such a cloud, being written before 50 AD (20 years before the fall of the temple and never predicted in Mark) as opposed to about 90 to 100 AD when John is written. Of course, John writing after the fact, has Jesus predict the fall of the temple, lol. |
