What is happening in the Democratic primaries is the same that took place in the Republican primary in 2000 between McCain and Bush. But Bush did not seek the assistance of the party chairman since we all know that the primary is supposed to be where you fight on your own and win. And while in the process of fighting it out, you try to unite the party not divide it by saying that the younger voters will not come out "if I don't win". That is not for Dean to insult the intelligence of the voter and point it out. And to top it off to say that he is saying the truth?!?! That is for the Democrats to figure that out.

After he made the statement that if he does not win his supporters won't back the party nominee by keeping away from the vote, he had the gall to ask the other candidates during the Iowa debate if they would support the Democratic nominee! He is dead wrong. There are many who remain neutral and they are the ones who are going to make up their mind in the last minute and tip the scales.

Dean knows that he is very vulnerable in the South. That is why he commented on the Confederate flag, faith and God when he campaigns in the South etc. etc. Dean could win Iowa and NH and loose the South and the nomination. Statistically possible.

Go Wes Clark.
