Bell Labs is the research arm of Lucent and is invested into Nano tech - to what degree I am uncertain. Back in May 2003, Lucent announced the Nanotechnology Consortium as a wholly owned subsidiary of Lucent and run by Bell Labs within the Physical Sciences Division.
