NEWS FLASH: George W. Bush sufferring from mad cow disease.
Written by Robert Carey

It's curtains for us anyway
George W. Bush's efforts at reassuring beef consumers that US beef is safe to eat have seriously backfired.

After announcing publicly that he eats beef on a regular basis and that he intended to continue doing so, it was revealed today that the human brain wasting disease, contracted by consuming meat from cattle suffering from mad cow disease, has afflicted the US president for the past 2 years.

It is unsure if it will prove fatal in Mr. Bush's case but 800,000,000 cattle won't be so lucky. The incineration of slaughtered cattle across the United States has just begun and word has it that the British episode of a few years ago will be dwarfed by comparison.

50,000 McDonald's restaurants have closed their doors and Hungry Jack's are poised to follow.

US vice president, Dick Cheney who apparently is still capable of making semi logical decisions will assume the presidency until Mr. Bush recovers, said, "The president's illness probably accounts for the bizarre decisions he's made over the recent past".

Mr. Cheney has privately confided to close colleagues that he is uncomfortable in being No. 1 man as there is now nobody else to whom he can pass the buck.
